I Started My Dodge RAM 2500 5.9L Cummings Diesel many times & My vehicle requires 2 batteries. I had one battery disconnected & the Clore Started my 379,000 mile engine right up. It is a very powerful jump starter & would absolutely recommend it to ANYONE. One Side note…The Clore has very Bulky Plastic handles. It can be hard to clamp on a battery with hard to get at to side terminals. I would after purchase, make sure it can clamp on your cars terminals. I put it on a mid 90’s Buick & I had to use BOTH hands to hold clamp to terminal while someone else started the vehicle. I did some “alterations” to mine so I don’t run into that problem again. It will definitely Start a 4CYL Diesel
How does this product get charged up? How does it differ between one called “rechargeable”?
This is charged by plugging a small transformer into a wall outlet. it has a indicator light when charged and will last for a few months and should be recharged again to assure full output. I recharge mine about every 3-4 months to make sure it will work when needed, then leave it in the car for that unexpected moment.
Why are so many people from outside of California deliberately buying California energy compliant version? Is it better?
I’m not sure if it’s better or worse. But I was forced by my zip code to buy the compliant one and it worked like a CHAMP. Right out of the box, it started my very dead 6cyl SUV battery.
